Find Available Teaching Opportunities in Richmond, VA

richmond_va_2The state of Virginia is one of the jewels of the east coast. With its mountains, beaches, and proximity to the Nation’s Capital, this state has much to offer. According to Ballotpedia, Virginia is also home to 89,389 public school teachers. And as one of the state’s largest cities and its capital, Richmond is the place to be.

Although it is one of the largest cities in Virginia, Richmond is still considered to be a mid-sized city. That means you can have all the benefits of big city living and yet keep the small city feel. Some of the city’s most popular spots include richmond_va_3Belle Isle and the Canal Walk. The first is a pedestrian suspension bridge with a one-mile trail around Belle Isle. The latter is another trail for pedestrians, but also has markers along the walk which take note of significant events.

Richmond also offers plenty of options for family fun or school field trips. Consider taking your family or class to the Children’s Museum of Richmond and the Science Museum of Virginia. Other good spots include the Library of Virginia and the Lewis Ginter Botanical Gardens. You will also want to be sure to take a boat tour through the canals.
