Have you been looking for a social learning network that you can use to connect with students safely online?
Edmodo is a classroom solution that lets you combine grading, polling, communicating, and assigning student work. This social learning platform allows you to connect with students, parents, and administrators online in a safe way. Plus, many of the features for an individual classroom account are free.
Once you set up your free Edmodo account, you’ll notice it’s like having a Facebook page or website for your classroom (though really, you’ll quickly discover it’s much more). Students will have access to your classroom page and be able to post assignments, explore the class calendar, view their grades, and collaborate in online discussions. You also have the option of involving parents in your account as well, giving them the chance to see what’s going on in classroom activities.
Edmodo truly excels at keeping student data safe and secure. It’s simple to stipulate which students have access to what materials, and give group or grade access only to those who need it (for example, students and their parents can see only their individual grades, no one else’s). Security is one reason why Edmodo is the fastest growing online network for students and educators, with over 40 million users.
