Google Apps for Education is a platform that connects all your Google Tools for classroom use. It is free for schools, ad-free, and works across any device. Here we will give an overview of Google Apps for Education and what they can be used for.

What Tools Are Included in Google Apps for Education?


Classroom - An app solely for Google Apps for Education users. Teachers can use it to create classes and lesson plans, distribute assignments, and give feedback to their students.

Gmail - an email server at your school's domain, so you can keep your personal and professional accounts separate.

Drive - file storage that syncs files, documents, spreadsheets, and presentations all together in the cloud. Includes Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides.

Calendar - online calendar that is shareable and integrates with other Google tools like Gmail, Contacts, or Hangouts.

Vault - Vault preserves and protects all your data and is free for Google Apps for Education (GAFE) accounts.
