One simple tool is helping thousands stay mindful. Regain your sanity by adopting a few minutes of meditation every day.

How to Stay Mindful in the Classroom

Feeling overwhelmed? Use Stop, Breathe & Think to take a couple minutes to meditate every day, and stay mindful in the classroom.

Larger class sizes, behavior issues, attendance struggles, broken technology, piles of paperwork – there are 101 reasons why it's easy to feel overwhelmed as a teacher. All the more reason why it's important to take a couple of minutes every day to enjoy the moment, center yourself, and stay mindful.

Stop, Breathe & Think helps you find peace of mind by providing short meditation exercises to practice every day. By taking part in a few short minutes of meditation each day, you can change your whole mindset about your role in the world around you.

Not only is this a great practice to try out yourself, but you might consider making this a part of your day with your students as well. Available on the web and as an app, Stop, Breathe & Think can help you and your students gain better awareness of emotions, and manage feelings of stress and anxiety.

One of my favorite parts of the iOS app is that before you begin your practice, you take a brief survey. This assesses your mood, and tailors the meditation to your current state of mind.

Emotional, mental, and physical well being are all important aspects of health, which in turn affect our ability to learn and grow. What type of health practices do you try to include in your classroom? Tell me about them in a comment on this article.
