Session Description:

Due to the challenges surrounding the pandemic, it has become increasingly difficult for families to manage their medical needs as well as find access to mental health care. Join Támara Hill, a licensed child and family therapist and internationally board-certified trauma therapist, as she discusses the emotional and psychological impact on families as they readjust to a distressed educational system. You will also walk away with a variety of resources and strategies to help connect families with mental health services and support.

Learning Objectives:

  • Explain the emotional and psychological impacts of the pandemic and how it relates to the difficulties that families are facing with access to mental health care.
  • Identify resources and strategies that can be used to connect families with mental health services and support.

Assessment:

Participants will join a collaborative backchannel chat to share mental health resources and strategies to demonstrate their understanding of the session objectives and reflect on their learning.
