Workshop Description:
Teachers know that students walk into their classrooms with a wide range of abilities, and they often experience challenges with their behavior and/or academic performance. Join Melissa Mann for this hands-on, interactive workshop as she shares a toolbox of evidence-based academic and behavioral intervention strategies that can be used to assist struggling students. Participants will also have an opportunity to choose an intervention strategy based on a particular skill or behavior and develop a plan to implement that strategy in the classroom.
Learning Objectives:
- Explore evidence-based academic and behavioral intervention tools and strategies that can be used to assist struggling students.
- Develop a plan to implement a specific academic or behavioral intervention strategy in the classroom.
Special Technology Instructions:
Participants will need access to an internet device, a non-school, personal Google account. SimpleK12’s Google Classroom will be utilized for the interactive and hands-on components of this workshop.
Assessment:
Participants will complete an exit ticket to demonstrate their understanding of the workshop objectives and reflect on their learning.
