Workshop Description: 

Do you struggle with differentiating learning to meet the needs of all your students? Join Lauren Boucher for this hands-on, interactive workshop to discover how to unpack standards and use them to guide your differentiation efforts. Lauren will share practical strategies and templates for breaking down standards, identifying key skills and concepts, and creating targeted and differentiated instruction that meets the diverse needs of your students. You will also have the opportunity to practice using these strategies and templates with sample standards and real-world scenarios. Whether you are a new teacher or a seasoned educator, this workshop will equip you with the tools and confidence you need to differentiate learning effectively and support the success of every student in your classroom. 

Learning Objectives: 

  • Discover strategies and templates for breaking down standards, identifying key skills and concepts, and creating targeted and differentiated instruction that meets the diverse needs of your students. 
  • Use sample standards and real-world scenarios to practice differentiating instruction to support the success of every student in the classroom. 

Special Technology Instructions:

Participants will need access to an internet device, a non-school, personal Google account. SimpleK12’s Google Classroom will be utilized for the interactive and hands-on components of this workshop.

Assessment:

Participants will have collaboration and sharing opportunities throughout the workshop to demonstrate their understanding of the workshop objectives and reflect on their learning.
