This free tool is a great choice for introducing students to a number line that you can customize to fit their needs.

In this 3-Minute Classroom Problem Solver video, SimpleK12 edtech trainer Monica Burns explains how to teach with the Number Line app. This app is available in a variety of ways. Select the web app for use on a computer or chromebook, or go to the Apple, Windows, or Chrome web store for use on your handheld devices.

Watch as Monica navigates the web app and explains the main options available to help your students visualize numbers using a number line. Choose number lines marked with whole numbers, fractions, or decimals. You can also select a blank number line, with or without tick marks.
