Whether you’re new to teaching, or coming back after some time off, you need a stellar resume to help you land the job of your dreams. Here are some questions you should address in your resume.
1. What is your motivation for teaching?
Tip: Create a career objective or mission statement that describes your passion for teaching, outlines your teaching goals, and explains your classroom style.
2. What are your qualifications?
Tip: List all of your relevant coursework, training, and degrees that make you well-qualified. Make sure they are clearly bullet pointed!
3) What is your experience?
Tip: If you do not have real-world teaching experience yet, a resume grouped by skill sets is a great way to play down your “greenness”. This way, you can still describe skills learned in school, student teaching environments, internships, or volunteer work.
4. Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
Tip: Employers need to see your aspirations, and that you have a desire to succeed at new jobs.
Hope you found a few of those useful – happy job hunting!
