NEWSFLASH:  It IS possible to share information without PowerPoint!

We can share information without PowerPoint.  I know, I know… who actually does that?  Well, we and Kim Munoz are here to show you one way to break out of the PowerPoint addiction.

without PowerPointDo you find yourself sleeping through most PowerPoint presentations? Do you wish there were a way to share information with your students, and to teach your students how, in a more visual and appealling way? Well, I want to suggest that you take a tip from Kim Munoz who has been doing just that for the last few years with Easel.ly, an infographic producer.

An infographic is essentially a chart of (usually) images and a few words that are meant to convey more complicated systems, processes, or information summaries. And, using Easel.ly. is well — easelly! You choose from one of dozens of templates and then edit it with your own data or text. You can choose replacment images from Easel.ly's large library of objects, selecting from categories that range from animalt to food to maps, and many, many more in between. With the free version and without an account, you can download a PDF or PNG image, but you'll need an account if you want to save infographics on their site.
