Teachers care deeply about their students and are moved by compassion to reach out to them when they are struggling. But combined with an overwhelming workload, this can put teachers at risk for increased levels of stress. Join Melissa Mann for this time-saving, to the point session as she shares how to recognize the signs and symptoms of compassion fatigue. You will also walk away with a toolbox of strategies to help combat the physical, mental, and emotional exhaustion that can lead to teacher burnout.

Presented by Melissa Mann

Melissa Mann is a special education teacher with the Madison County School System. She has taught both self-contained and collaborative students in kindergarten through sixth grade. Melissa is dually certified in elementary education and special education. She also has a master's in school counseling and is a certified school counselor. Melissa has also presented at Alabama's state technology conference and at various local conferences.
