Workshop description: News broadcasts can be used in creative and interesting ways to engage English Learners and help them discover what is happening in their communities as well as around the world. Join Shelly Terrell as she shares how to use free, education-friendly broadcasting tools to spark student engagement, including scaffolds, supports, and strategies to help students complete their projects. Participants will also have an opportunity to access done-for-you templates to create their own newscast project that they can immediately use with their students.
