Description

If you are new to Adobe Illustrator, this workshop will introduce you to the tools you need to create some fun graphics, starting with basic shapes. Join Kim Munoz as she shares how to navigate the drawing interface by zooming in and out of your designs, use the properties panel to add color, and use the pathfinder panel to combine shapes in a variety of ways. Participants will also have an opportunity to create their own designs that will assist them in teaching their students how to effectively use Adobe Illustrator.

Objectives

Explain how to navigate the drawing interface by using shortcuts to pan the screen and zoom in and out. Describe how to use the pathfinder tool panel to manipulate various shapes. Create a geometric design using the shapes tool that incorporates various strokes, color fills, and gradients.
